Kanpur (Dehat) – The gram panchayat Jalalpur Derapur (Gram Pradhan Nidhi Katiyar) in Sandalpur block witnessed a significant event, underscoring the impactful strides being made in advancing rural health education and awareness. This visit was led by the distinguished Mentor of Model Gaon, Dr. Heera Lal IAS, alongside key figures including CEO of Model Gaon Saurabh Lall, and Prof. Roopinder from CISE Kirori Mal College, Delhi University. The Bharat Serums and Vaccines Limited (BSVL) also played a pivotal role, represented during the visit by Senior Manager, Dr. Divyesh Mundra.
This health-focused campaign, supported by BSVL, is dedicated to holistic pregnancy care, menstrual health, and adolescent health. It involves comprehensive door-to-door awareness and mobilization activities directly engaging with the local households. The team’s interactions with local women, girls, boys, and administrative officers such as the Gram Pradhan and Village Secretary provided valuable feedback and showcased the community’s active involvement.
BSVL’s support was crucial, providing essential resources and expertise that significantly boosted the campaign’s reach and effectiveness. This collaboration has been instrumental in enhancing the delivery of healthcare information and services in the area.
The visit on 12th July 2024 offered deep insights into how the program can be further strengthened, reflecting Model Gaon’s commitment to sustainable health practices and improved quality of life in rural communities.
